P.S.: I'm was thinking more and more about BitShares embassies the last week! Also a idea we should more promote IMO!
I'm thinking of embassy delegates etc.. but maybe i'm thinking in wrong direction ... but due this we can get more small teams all over the world on board!
Totally appreciate all fuzzy's hard work so far and will be voting for him once I finally get round to setting up my new machine with the 0.5 client. That said the most recent mumble session appears to have been edited in what appeared to be a rather odd and jarring way. I could be wrong but it felt like there were bit's that someone had decided to cut out because they didn't like what was being said:
Example from edited mumble session 21/01/2015. At 23.35 we hear faddat get cut off and then fade in to him saying out of context:
faddat: be forked
fuzzy: what do you mean by that
faddat: okay, because there's very little contact....
[.....]
faddat: erm, no they don't do that Riverhead, although you could almost call it that the censorship is so pervasive now.
I thought the above example was slightly ironic given that faddat was talking about censorship.
I know often there's a link posted early to the full unedited version of the Mumble sessions, but it's a bit of a pain to track it down each week. Please can fuzzy post the unedited version of the Mumble session to SoundCloud every week alongside the edited version? Would be most appreciated if this could be added as part of delegate duties. I for one would rather trawl through all the pauses, clicks and pops and still get to hear what everyone actually says. Really felt like I was missing important points the way the last session was edited.
Thanks in advance and keep up the stellar work.
but pls no trello ... ^^
i would advise to use slack or asana.. just said
What are big downsides of trello to asana or slack? We're back to the project management phase and Rgcrypto has used trello. I've never used any of this much so I can't begin to have an opinion.
This whole forum is about suggestions. Saying things should be done faster is the type of discussion that frankly has little value. You need to find something and do it !
Intellectually elite white males, those who make up most of the current knowledge and usage demographic of blockchain technology, are not going to be able to mainstream it to their relatives in the foreseeable future. Visa/mastercard and Chase bank works for them. And there is no billion dollar war chest to win them over with promotion. And before you call up Roger Ver and his cohorts, please don't. All the “bitcoin millionaire” money is just a puddle compared to the oceans of cash the incumbents can borrow from their friends in the banking industry.
But there is another way to do it. A way for Bitshares in particular to gain a worldwide marketing/usage foothold without going up against the incumbents directly. There are three revolutions going on in the world that are ripe for Bitasset usage and growth:
1. the massive African adoption of digital currency, which many Bitcoin news outlets have reported on, like Mpesa that is spreading all over the continent:

2. The Caribbean Bitcoin movements:

3. The new African American economic initiatives:

African Americans and Africans worldwide do not have stocks, bonds or much of any type of investments. So the interest that banks used to hand over were precious beyond compare. I have spoken to my African friends and told them about Bitshares, especially Bitassets, and watched their eyes light up as they ask how to sign up. The handwriting on the wall, the elephant in the room, is that people of African descent are the most viable growth market for Bitshares. As a member of this group with contacts worldwide, I have a plan to get widespread Bitshares/Bitasset usage, knowledge and trust. How? By giving the people what they want and are not getting -quality entertainment.
The Bitshares African Initiative

Delegates are inspired entrepreneurs that have the 'can-do' spirit to make things happen.
We are magical beings that can turn nothing into something.
A guy seeking a job in marketing willing to accept that kind of rate of pay is more than likely going to be really ineffective.
I see the delegates work tend to be complimentary and not overlapping. Some are not even really considered marketing, but their activities accomplish it. They are largely operating on the hope, belief, and prayer that BTS market cap goes up and their delegate stake increases in value. That is enough to motivate anybody to want to see BTS better perform. The motivational dynamic in my estimation is perfect.
There is enough of us to keep an eye on things.. look what happened just last week. One wasn't cutting it and they got the boot. If there are others it will show, and the remaining cream will rise to the top.
My 2.9 cents anyways.
“Cecil Graham: What is a cynic?
Lord Darlington: A man who knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing.
Cecil Graham: And a sentimentalist, my dear Darlington, is a man who sees an absurd value in everything and doesn’t know the market price of any single thing.”
Get your votes in, 1.5 Million BTS being offered upfront! This should be voted in double time.
