Title: how to keep my accounts clean?
Post by: btswolf on December 27, 2015, 07:04:54 pm
I just received some tiny amounts of openbtc via sharebits and some other assets I cannot transfer or burn because the required fees are higher than the assets are worth.

how to enable a whitelist for assets/senders that my accounts are allowed to receive?

Yes, this would  be a nice feature. I don't need those crap tokens in my wallet too.

It's gonna become a problem with time, we will have a lot of assets dust in our wallets.

It would be cool to have a special account where you can send any amount you like without fees. Maybe with a "protection" (10 Tx/day max) to avoid a bad actor using this account to overload the network.

There is a 'null-account' owned by no one .. however transfers there are not for free ..
I'd rather have a feature in the gui to hide dust assets

Hiding in the GUI is not enough, I need real clean Accounts!

Cant there be a verification mechanism using memos ? Unless the memo code matches the one given by the receiver the transaction will not go through ... something like that ..

Or whitelist assets and/or classes of assets (per account and/or wallet) .. make the transfer bounce or stay pending for verification ..

a simple >> hide << button in the gui would be good enough in my opinion

Probably easier to implement and better.

Besides, the day you receive open.BTC in decent quantity, it will sum up to your dust and you will be able to withraw/transfer everything.
