Technical Support / Re: No Affiliate System at launch
« on: October 13, 2015, 08:56:41 pm »
Using the referral system at this moment seems a bit vague.

Is there a method in place for us non-wallet providers to refer a user and get some portion of the referral credit?

If so, what is/are the page(s)/website(s) we are are supposed to refer a user to?

If so, please provide an example of the exact way we should format the link with our referral code.

Thank you.

General Discussion / Re: How many gas stations sell cokes?
« on: October 12, 2015, 05:19:51 am »
There are 168,000 retail locations in the U.S. that sell fuel to the public.
There are 126,658 convenience stores selling fuel in the United States.

Coke has a market share of about 42%, but some convenience store gas stations sell Coke along with other players in the market like Pepsi, so maybe 60% of gas stations sell Coke.

So I am going to guess that there are about 76,000 gas stations selling Coke in the United States.

Ronnie!

Your Open Ledger website home page logo link is broken: "The requested URL was not found on this server. That is all we know. ".
I know if you change the logo image URL from .php to .html it would work!!!

We will work out a referral program for bitshares.org that will see to it you get rewarded downstream by forwarding the r=? args to the partner sites that the user eventually selects.

If that is the case, much disappointment.

You can change your avatar, just use the
"Specify avatar by URL"
method, I updated mine recently this way. You will have to post your avatar somewhere, i.e. imgur

In terms of prime numbers that don't look ridiculous or small, 25 and 33 look a hell of a lot better.
Niether of those numbers are prime.

For whatever reason, lottoshares.com doesn't always show the amount raised so far. Last time it happened, I hit refresh and it fixed it. This time, that did not work. Tried a second browser, and after hitting refresh it displayed correctly.

Random Discussion / Re: Adsense Strugles
« on: October 01, 2015, 05:55:20 am »
Understand that Adsense Ads are personalized based on a lot of factors.
Currently on my screen:

-Adsense Publisher
-Adsense formats
-Adsense ADS
-Sample Proposal
Are you reading a forum post about Adsense at the moment? Yes. The content of the page you are looking at is one of the determining factors for which ads are displayed.

Adsense is clueless on here. Mine currently has:

-Dow Stock Market
-Stock Shares
-Stock Price
-How to Buy Stock
Does this site discuss trading and markets? Yes. Ads delivered therefore match the content.
Do you ever visit sites that discuss stocks, the stock markets, finance? Your browsing history is another determining factor in which ads are displayed.
Cool explanation BUT Goolge /ad sense ( add-no-sense) knows [I have read my report, I know they are good at sneaky following me and data dissemination] I speak only 2 languages (3 according to them but anyway)...non of them is Chinese...unfortunately. So why  serve me stuff in that language?

PS
Yes, I have posted in the Chinese sub-forum....but they should be aware of a thingy called "Google Translate"....
Google and the publisher only make money when you actually click, publishers get paid pennies for thousands of impressions. You probably don't click the ads much if at all, so Google is probably grasping at straws to get you to click an ad. Either that, or those ads appeared while you were on the Chinese forum page so it would make sense that the ads were in Chinese.

Too bad (not really) we don't have image ads, those are much funnier/noticeable when they are off target.
