Title: New Ripple Presentation About Why Ripple is Useful for Financial Institutions
Post by: alexkravets on January 14, 2015, 08:47:22 pm
This is how a value proposition explanation is done !

There's much to learn here both as an explanation of why FI whales and their friends and family have been loading up on XRP (recent Bitcoin-induced panicked correction notwithstanding)

AND how one clearly presents system benefits to one's target audience ...

Enjoy ...

Sucks that ripple is just as dependent on bitcoin as every other altcoin, eh? ;)

In what way is Ripple dependent on Bitcoin? That's virtually an impossible argument to make.

You posted the exact same message and link in two different threads, neither of which is an appropriate place for an off-topic project?

What's your purpose in doing that?

Isn't it relevant in that we can learn from it as to how to present our value proposition?

It may or may not be relevant. The point is that OP only ever posts on the topic of Ripple and this time has posted the exact same message in "General Discussion" and in "Bitshares" threads. Why?

If his motivation is truly to enlighten us as to presentation then we have a "Marketing" thread.

And if his motivation is to once again present Ripple to us then "Crypto Economy" thread is for: Discussion about the crypto-currency industry at large, market info, and coin news.

It is my understanding that the OP is one of the biggest holders of BTS and is actually trying to encourage our community to communicate our message in such a clear and concise way as Ripple just has.  It's most likely motivated by trying to protect one's investment and to see our concept succeed.

Oh? On what are you basing that conjecture? His last 39 posts have been 37 to boost Ripple and 2 to put down Stellar for ripping off Ripple. I doubt that he remains a large investor in BitShares or that his motivation is anything  other than to try and move investment from here to Ripple.

Don't be a zealot, you'll scare him away. All his advice so far has been good, including this post.

Basing it on the fact that I know him personally and he is the one that first got me into Bitshares to begin with and he often expresses his agreement with the Bitshares vision

I assumed that bitcoin going down would make ripple go up, or wouldn't affect it. Ripple is so different from other cryptocurrencies that it surprises me that it still behaves like an altcoin when bitcoin goes down.

If you notice that Ripple is far less down than Bitcoin is...One of the only reasons that it went down is that Bitstamp USD withdrawals were not working and therefore the largest non-BTC market was not working.  This drove those seeking fiat to sell for BTC and withdraw the BTC.  It has since began to separate from the BTC fall.

I do indeed hold tons of BTS (a percentage ! :-)

I posted in BitShares then on evolove's advice attempted to delete and repost in General discussion, I guess I failed to delete this thread.

PS @toast: I appreciate the support, but the last thing I would do is be scared off by some trolling comments lol
