We work two full shifts every day.  Look at the demands on Dan's time.  Look at what he gets done.  Look at the big picture.  Wealth is being built for everyone right in front of your eyes.  Optimizing that big picture for everyone is our top priority.  Granting interviews when requested.  Speaking at conferences when invited.  Interviewing new hires when one is found.  Strategizing with potential partners when they call. Helping our developers when they get stuck. Dealing with research and development issues as they are discovered.  Inventing solutions for them.  Discussing them with the community.   All of these things interfere with our urgent goal of making XTS liquid.  But failing to do these other things has longer term implications for the whole industry.

One thing we can all agree on.  We are terrible at estimating how long a task will take with this many must-do interruptions.  That's why we don't set dates anymore.

 

I agree, having lived in that region. There are no problems with 5; that poster was mistaken. The number 4 is unlucky in much of East Asia because the Chinese character for 4 sounds the same as the one for death. 7 is a very lucky number in much of the world and, in other places, so is 8. But I think the crazy eights 88888888... looks idiotic. If you're going to use 8, then make it a nice round 800,000 or 8,000,000, etc.
