Upgrade to 0.9.2!!
-
My client shows under >File >Check for Updates:
"No new updates available."
Where can I download the new version?
Uninstall 0.8.0 before installing the new version?

Thanks for your help! Sync does work again.

Sorry, but on a Linux-Machine (MInt 17.1) I have still (even with BitShares 0.9.2) the same problem: It's not connecting.
What can I do, to solve this problem too?

Are you sure you are not behind a firewall?
when you go to the console (top right, account->advanced settings, tab console) you can type "info". Do so after the client is running for a couple of minutes and post the results here.
-
No, no firewall on this linux-machine.
Here is the info result:

You have 19 connections and the head_block number is 398872.
let the client run and check "info" again and compare .. to me it looks as if it was syncing
-
On the Linux machine, there are obviously multiple problems:
> When starting the client appears again and again: "Crash Detected".
> If you select "Reset Database" the system freezes (remains frozen for hours).
> If you select "Continue Normally" the account shows unter "balance" false (old) values.
> At the bottom right is permanently displayed: "Not Connected".
> Always 100% CPU load.
> Top right following alert is permanently displayed: "JSON - Prase error: Property name must be a string literal [show details]"(This link does not work.)
Here comes the actual info result:

It is syncing .. it may only need more time .. as you can see the wallet is only 19weeks behind
-
And why does it show "Not connected"?
-
Id say GUI bug .. the "core" has 11 connections according to your info .. give it some more time .. the gui will refresh eventually
New gui will not have those nasty bugs
-
Finally it's completely synced!
Thanks for your help.
When is the new GUI is to be expected?
