Hey Guys! PeerTracks already has it's logo for its or company.
Now what we don't have is a logo for either BitShares Music as a whole or just the Notes.
Might just have one work for both. Like Bitcoin's B is the logo to represent the units + the blockchain/network.
Any ideas?

*agree* .. I like the relation to (musical) notes
maybe we can extend to a chord of some sort ...
however, cass is a fan of minimal art .. that leaves us only 'few' possibilities to have a 'similar' logo for multiple bands/brands/artist/blockchains/assets ....

Sorry, do not take it the wrong way - it is combination of 'my no-problem, broblem, that is solved by a store down the street.' and seeing somebody drawing almost as bad as my own (which makes me happy).

Surely for Notes the obvious symbol are those that exist in Unicode. So, http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/1f3b5/index.htm for Note and then an option on fractions with https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Unicode/List_of_useful_symbols#Music

Dont think it is a good idea to make modification on the Bitshares TM logo to get new logo for a dac .
That will produce confusion to the mass...

Uhhmm.. thanks for all the nice ideas here. But really, are there designers, beside cass who can put up cool logo design? The music dac is a ground-breaking concept.. it deserves better.

I don't think that this thread is meant to necessarily come up with a finalized logo, just brainstorm ideas.
My thing was something I whipped up in about 30 minutes. I'm not a graphics designer, I teach windsurfing :/

IMHO most people around in here are crypto punks and nerds .. not sure if you will ever find a reasonable designer in here ..
That's why we can be extremely thankful we have cass btw.
But I am sure there are plenty of people/freelance in some other networks like reddit/4chan that could design a nice logo for some "cash"

Also if you want to create another one, you should check if it's scalable for really small sizes

Here is my version idea of Note Logo
Just rough Idea, can fill up colors and finalize it once you approved my idea.
The N is the logo concept, idea comes from the notes symbol (red circle below)

I really like cass's "flat ui" style branding ideas for BitShares MUSIC and this seems to be the popular opinion too. I have taken the liberty to "fork" cass's ideas and add my own. Let me know what you think. Shout-out to the Fuzzy one for making me feel super welcome at last Friday's dev hangout (as always) and inspiring me to do some work. More to come soonish...

The bottom symbol, I think it's the G clef? Would it be in your abilities to maybe create a new symbol of maybe a lower case "n" that looks similar? Something symbolizing a note?
I think the one I identify with most is actually the second from the top, but they're all great!

Yes absolutely, I can create/customize as necessary. The icons in the center of the circles I took from an icon pack to get some quick ideas out, so if I take any of the designs further I would customize them to make them more unique to us. I really like the 2nd one down too (the waveform). One of my ideas is to turn the waveform into an "M" (for music). I can also animate (2D + 3D) so I could make the "M" waveform pulse in time to music, which I think will look really cool.
I can also work on a design for the lowercase "n" with notes as you and others have suggested.

Yeah it does look like a mirrored version of the musical notation for a "natural". Not sure if many people will know that or recognize that though. I've quickly knocked a version up. I like your idea too liondani of putting the play button in the middle. I'll be adding my idea for an "M" waveform as well as the community idea for a lowercase "n" note probably later tonight or tomorrow as well when I can find a spare hour or two.

Interesting idea, looks promising. It might be even better if the design has a direct connection to the music/Note theme. Can the p/d shape be modified to look more like either an 'N' or a note?

I know I am really new in here, but I feel like those designs with notes looks VERY much like new iTunes/ iOS8 Music App logos or BeatsMusic. They all seem to be red'ish and similar.

Yay, this thread is back from the dead. I assumed months ago there wasn't any further interest in NOTE designs or that it would be done instead by someone on the MUSIC team. If you guys need any of my source files or if you want me to expand on any of my previous designs or have any ideas for new ones, just let me know and I'll happily help out.
