General Discussion / Re: Brainstorm - Bit20 MSSR / margin call
« on: January 07, 2017, 09:44:19 pm »
No he's correct, margin calls only happen once the call price goes below the feed price.

Once you get margin called, the order will execute UP TO the sqp price, think of it as a premium with an upper limit.

Stakeholder Proposals / [Worker Proposal] New GUI development worker
« on: January 03, 2017, 07:29:11 am »
I've just created a new worker for another 3 month period starting on Monday the 9th of January 2017. As part of the worker I will be making new releases of the light wallets and updating bitshares.org/wallet, and making improvements to the wallet as outlined here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c4acxn0BAAln2EPd9WcE6cU3fqpxbeyOTL0JrfMbT7E/edit?usp=sharing

Your support is much appreciated!

Any way for us to know what the actual issues were so they can be worked through and fixed?

General Discussion / Re: Graphene GUI testing and feedback

One of the releases changed the naming scheme and dropped the "open" part of assets.  This is confusing for new users as when your on the bts trading tab for example there is now BTC and bitBTC.  They do not know the difference.

If we keep this style of dropping the prefix, I believe there should be an additional tab with ONLY bitassets so users can be assured they are trading blockchain backed assets.
This is done by Openledger and it's only their choice. Bitshares client display prefixes as earlier.

I sent them a message, thanks for the tip.  I thought @svk was doing the GUI work for Openledger also?
Nope this was the Openledger team, not me.

That market isn't very active, you should look at the volume history to check whether a market is actually alive or not.

Technical Support / Re: Failed to sync with the API server

Upon further investigation I narrowed it down to a problem with the minified highstock v4.2.7 file, I've reverted to 4.2.6 which seems to work fine.

Still not working.  I did (not sure if right):
Code: [Select]
cd dl; npm install react-highcharts@v8; cd ../web;  npm install react-highcharts@v8
Maybe this is wrong?
Code: [Select]
$ nvm use 5
Now using node v5.9.1 (npm v3.7.3)

I had some time this morning and took a look, there were two issues: one with the minified highstock file and another related to the indicators not being defined properly, I've pushed a fix so it should work properly now.

Edit: Looks like the indicators functionality was removed somewhere in highcharts, so they don't work at the moment.

Looks related to Highcharts, could be that npm installed a newer version of react-highcharts for you with breaking changes. v8 should be ok I think, you could try installing that manually, npm install react-highcharts@v8

When cloning the github and running the client on a local host:
The client is very slow in general
The exchange is non functional (just shows as loading continuously).

Tried connecting to different servers.
Is there any way to fix this so that testing can be done locally.
Running on local host works fine for me, can't really help you without more info here.

It will be slower than a production build though that's inevitable due to debugging etc.

Only MPAs have settlement prices. Openledger devs are making changes themselves right now without my involvement so you should ask Ronny to check this imo.

Yes, noticed that Openledger working on their own gui and i like those changes. What about @svk? Do you know his plans?

I'll probably make another worker but it has to wait a little since I don't have much time right now for it.

I'll be making a final release for this worker period soon though even if it's expired as there's some work that's yet to be included in a release.

You're having connection issues, the Openledger server has been a bit unstable lately so you could try Freedomledger instead. Could also be caused by a poor connection on your end.

You need to import your AGS keys in the old client first, then make an export for BTS 2 by following the guide here: http://docs.bitshares.eu/bitshares/migration/howto-exporting-wallet.html#bitshares-1-0-full-client.

The Openledger API server appears to be having some issues lately, not sure what changed there but that could be why. Can you see any errors in the console?
