BitShares PTS / Re: Why is ypool destroying PTS? (70% mined by ypool)
« on: January 20, 2014, 01:02:44 pm »
One thing I have planned however, is to put up an clearly visible warning sign when the pool reaches at least 30-40% of the network. It will link to a page with detailed explanation of 51% attack and what affect it can have on the reputation and price of the coin. Everybody is then free to decide if he will risk it or leave the pool.

Well? It is 4 days later and I just logged in. I see no warning.  You have a news timeline right when you login. How hard would it be to throw a warning on that? Please do not procrastinate.

i disagree, pariah, responsible pools close down registrations at a certain hashrate.

Yep, ypool should of done something along time ago. It's one thing to be lazy and let it get to the point where it is 50%+. But to not do anything once the issue has occurred is a slap in the face to the community IMHO.

Edit: After researching it, looks like I need the AMD App SDK. Downloading/installing..

No joy. :(

did you try the amd-opencl-dev package (apt-get install amd-opencl-dev)?
Just tried it now and sadly no joy. Installed fine but same errors.

Yup, I was about to tell you that... You need to install some OpenCL SDK. AFAIK, you can use NVidia SDK when compiling, since the work is done by the driver, and the protocols are all standard. But I never tried it.
I installed the AMD APP SDK but again, same set of errors.. Any other pointers? Would love to get your code running.

have any more luck ?  i seem to be in the same boat as you

anyways how much c/m does this mean?
thread 0: 2.222 hash/min

box normally does 330c/m
this miner doing 36+ hash/min ? guessing 100c/m?

my 7970s and 280x's gives 920-1000 cm
a6-6400k gpu on cpu gives 188 cm
a10-6800k gpu on cpu gives 266 cm

havn't had much luck getting the cpuminer compiled

with the new version it's look like im down 100c/m per gtx 295
each gpu in the gtx 295 was getting 340+ now it is only getting 290c/m

changed sm to 13
works on gtx 295 np
gtx295 is dual gpu,  so   2x 335c/m

Thanks!
test run was old amd x2 cpu,
i put 2 gtx 295 on single intel E5620, all instances hashing at 345+
