General Discussion / Restoring lost balances
« on: August 29, 2014, 03:55:41 pm »
Hey everyone - Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone had nailed down a process for restoring lost balances in their wallet.  I'm still working on figuring it out on my end, but to no avail (yet).

Thanks!

General Discussion / So I clicked the "cover" button...
« on: August 26, 2014, 04:08:59 pm »
This may be a dumb question, but I have a feeling that other people are probably in the same boat.

I clicked the green cover button under open orders; result: It appears I now have more btsx..

Questions:
What did I do? (with regards to market mechanics)
Are there any negative effects I should expect in the future?
"Green" button means "press here", right?
What do I need to know about margin orders?

I'm working to further my understanding of margin calls and could use a good overview / ELI5

Technical Support / Problem with Directory
« on: August 24, 2014, 05:11:34 pm »
I'm having issues with the searching registered user names in the directory in both 0.4.5 and 0.4.7.

I cannot filter through any registered user names beyond page 89... (in the "b's") Discovered this through needing to send funds from the Thunderclap campaign (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=7447.msg99396#msg99396).

Is this a known issue and is anyone else having trouble as well?

General Discussion / Issue Withdrawing BitShares PTS from Cryptsy
« on: August 10, 2014, 11:46:05 pm »
Just wanted to give the gang a heads up, I've been having some issues over the past few days whilst sending BitShares PTS to my wallet from my Cryptsy account (a standard withdraw).

While submitting a "withdraw request" (and confirming by e-mail), only a small percentage (~6%) of the PTS I sent to my wallet would make it to my wallet (this has happened twice so far).  Eventually the remaining balance would end up back into my Cryptsy account.

I've submitted a support ticket and the response I've received from Cryptsy so far is:

Quote
The input spam caused withdrawals to return "Transaction Too Large"
meaning the size of the transaction ( in kb ) was too large so the blockchain would reject it.
Our system would detect this and try for half that amount. And continue to do so until it is small enough
and accepted by the blockchain.

This concern has been forwarded to tech support team. I will keep you ticket open
and will keep you posted. Thank you so much for your patience. It is highly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Marjorie

Anyone else running into issues like this or have some insights as to what is going on??

I'll throw a vote in for Porter Robinson.  The kid is the next Skrillex; and is single handedly making dents in the EDM world.

It appears to be something of a decentralized escrow service??

What do you guys think about it?

I've been having a problem with the BitSharesX (Mac version 0.2.1) wallet crashing every time I open it and get the following notification:

Has anyone else had an issue with this?
If I click "reopen" or if I click "Don't reopen", the same result is "An error occurred while trying to start."

..I've even re-installed the wallet twice and to no avail.  I did back up the .json file and still have control off all my private keys, so no worries there.

Marketplace / THUNDERclap
« on: July 19, 2014, 07:50:48 pm »
[Clains] - I propose now(ish) would be a great time to put some funds towards setting up a Thunderclap campaign for Twitter.

https://www.thunderclap.it/

Happy to help support this and spread the word however I can.

Everyone on Twitter - Retweet anything hashtagged #BitShares!!
...Think grass roots, *organic* marketing campaigns..
Fuznuts is utterly awesome at it, ask him about it: https://twitter.com/justinfondriest
Hey Fuz - throw me a PTS addy, I'd like to toss a tip your way for recent work on marketing a' la Twitter & Beyond Bitcoin.

Found this article interesting from remarks Balaji Srinivasan (partner at Andreesen Horowitz) made.

Edit: Title; originally stated "BitShares" changed to "Invictus Innovations Inc."

General Discussion / PTS price increasing
« on: March 18, 2014, 08:35:44 pm »
I would suspect the PTS price is going to continue to increase with the drop of the website on Friday... preview looks incredible and investor confidence will surely rise.

Anyone else think we've just experienced the lowest price PTS will ever be?
