Re-imagine Gorilla Grassroots tactics 8)
+5% that's not a half bad idea.

Just make it big enough and the story wil get some media attention, if cought you only get a slap on the wrist. Although I'm not sure that also applies in "the land of the free"

 +5% really Nice newsletter.

Little thing though:
Why are only Western initiatives included in this newsletter?
It would be nice if cn.market101 could get a section in the next newsletter to give us an update on the eastern side.

Also read this: http://bytemaster.bitshares.org/article/2014/12/26/Stop-the-Crowd-Sales-Long-Live-Crowd-Funding

While bitshares, got of by declaring BTS as digital property. everything as a donation no strings attached.
I don't think you can do the same, you're selling shares in your company.

The SEC, was supposed to change their stance on equity Crowdfunding, but as far as I know they haven't yet.
This means that only Americans that are accredited investors can invest.
The rules around the globe are very different. Here in Europe they seem to be more liberal.
I don't know what the equivalent of the Canadian SEC stance is.

According to this it will be another year before the SEC will allow equity crowdfunding:

EDIT:

It seems I've overlooked this:
Quote
I think he makes some good points... it seems as though the safest route is to offer a service or product of some kind to be safe.

Does this concern your activities at all in BitShares?

So what you would basically do is reward based crowdfunding, like kickstarter and indiegogo.
Sure this is absolutely legal.

If I remember correctly you're looking for about 10 million usd, this is pretty ambitious for a rewards based crowdfunding campaign.
A little searching led me to:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/cold-war-bunker-building-restoration
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/save-the-historical-fallout-shelter
So you know it isn't easy to raise capital through this.

The difference between those 2 campaigns and your new one is, those campaigns anticipated more on charity, where as the new campaign would be more of a presale.

I don't understand that if you take this route, why you would have the need for an UIA.
And also, wouldn't it be easier to reach a wider audience though traditional crowdfunding platforms?

Looks like everything already got covered, crisis over folks :P

Well let's still make sure the bug (meaning expired short covers at the price feed should match with short sells at the price feed) is fixed.
Uhm, how did you come to the conclusion that everything got covered?

52
I'm neutral on the idea.
I can understand it if people want to listen to it asap, although a days wait wouldn't kill anyone.

For my little bitshares page, it's better to wait for the soundcloud version, because it's easy to embed.
Maybe you could promote the embed function of soundcloud more.
Everyone who embeds it into their site, blog or whatever adds to your view counts.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Developer delegate: dev-pc.bitcube

Fair enough. You've got multiple devs backing this proposal. And any help on their side is a big plus.
You've got my vote.

I like this delegate proposal, and I trust your capabilities.

But for someone who has no coding skills, could you explain what you can get done in 18 hours a month? (Current market cap)

Is it enough to make a big enough of a dent in cleaning up the GitHub issues?

Expired shorts do not pay fees.  They will sell to anyone with usd looking to sell at just above the feed.

So can anyone with BTS short bitUSD right now at 10% above the feed and make an instant 10% gain? Then this "backlog" should disappear very quickly.

No, I tried and it doesn't work.. There are shorts from the feed price up to +10% right now and no orders are executing.

It will be covered by Monday is my prediction.

How? They're not buying anything atm..
Just tested it, but the expired shorts are buying bitusd when you sell a bit over the price feed. (not selling into BTS sell orders of course)

Did you sell bitUSD you already had or short it? Cause there are shorts right now at the feed price that aren't being executed..
Sold bitusd I had. But you're right. To hit a short, you would have to sell BTS a bit under the pricefeed. To hit the expired shorts you have to sell bitusd a bit above the price feed, like BM said.

If I had to choose one delegate to tip it would be market.cn.group101.
If it wasn't for these guys we would probarbly be in a much wors position than we are now.
Also I like that they give us updates from the Chinese community, before this we had no way of knowing what happened there.

But also the tradebts and DACX delegates, would be tipped, because they look real promising.

59
This brings up another question. Let's say DACX and a couple of other platforms, need a couple of million in bitassets. Will there be enough people willing to short, to provide them with what they need?

Win GUI.
Details on errors do not display.
The bell icon shows the error, but clicking on show details doesn't do a thing

When removing a market, from the recent market section, it removes the market. But you get forwarded to another market

Like clayop said margin call orders are missing, but it also seems that price limits and total bitasset (per short) are not being displayed. Sorry it is displayed, apparently you can sidescroll the short sell orders tab, wich isn't quit obvious.

To look at a particular asset, and see the collected fees, price feeds etc... You now have to go to exchange and click on it. But there is no way in the GUI to see this page for BTS itself.
