BlockPay “S” is out now!

Potentially the 'override_authority: Issuer may transfer asset back to himself' permission could be used to recover an MPA from a black swan event/state.

Yes, that would be a good but extreme example for that. I would like to keep these options as they are today and make a better decision down the road. We still have a long way to go with the DEX and we don´t know how the future will look like in 3-4 years. Many features that we have today are not fully working yet due to lack of liquidity. I think it would be wrong to surrender so early.

I like the idea of accountability too. It is very sad to see so few witnesses assisting the Gridcoin MPA, it should be easy to do and we will have more and more communities coming onboard so we need an active set of witnesses.

I am watching the Witness report on Steem and I really like the effort. Unfortunately, It requires a lot of time and effort to kick that off. If the report can be posted on Steem, the analyst would get at least a compensation for his work.

Are we missing the right tools for voting or just the reporting?

@crypto123 which two witness are supporting you right now? Lets give them a push in votes!

Who do I have to shoot around here to get a witness to pay attention? (hah! LOL! .. ahem)
Is there no witness channel for them? Maybe it got a bit dusted because we did not do any hf in a long time anymore.

For the BitXDR
Cost to create: 1,174,108 BTS   234,822 BTS*LT (6,549 USD   1,310 USD*)
Managed by: Committee (?)
Paid by: crowdfunded
Set up by: Xeroc?, ABit?
Witness source: http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=1&From=XDR&To=EUR
MPA parameters: standard bitUSD

Purpose: ?

Reading most of the comments, I also agree with Karnal conclusion.

Most BitAsset currencies are for value protection and interest free.

BitAssets holder can decide to invest their funds into Marketmaker Funds, or other investment vehicles to earn an interest.

Sure it would be nice to earn 10% out of nothing but the 10%+(profit) need to be earned from someone, somewhere. We could think more about a Steem model of super inflation which still has to prove itself. Or we think about proven investment instruments who generate profits.

I like how the UIA are used here to help out fund a project. You said that the funds and their return are secured through the local municipal? 11% is quite an interest. Why so expensive?

Also, the road seems almost finished. How much of the 150k has been spent already?

158
Please correct me if I am wrong but you can only change these features once right? So if we surrender these features today we cannot turn them back again, right? So if we change them we can not adjust to any future market conditions where we might use these features.

That would be almost like the block size debate in Bitcoin. I would prefer a more flexible system.

159
I noticed that too. I think that has been removed.

Have you tried to create a new Telegram account and log into the chat? Maybe you should contact the Telegram support what to do here? Ofc we want you back Jonny!!

there is a problem: does the market has bitUSD demand?

I have expected that the bitUSD liquidity would rise obviously after the parameter change, but seems I was wrong.

now it is safe enough to generate bitUSD by shorting, but seems few people like to use this leverage tool, weird.

Hopefully, BlockPay will change this situation. @Chris4210

Yes, this is an important issue that I will focus on now. We need to consider any kind of liq program that could work for us.

The challenge here is really that even when we have 16 mio BTS right now, we only can create around 40k USD in total. So we need to think about additional ways how to create more liquidity and learn from the BitCNY approach.

If @roadscape is not active anymore then we need to create a second blockchain explorer for Bitshares?
