Title: Https certificate error on mobile devices
Post by: 38PTSWarrior on February 23, 2015, 09:30:18 pm
I just come from town and someone scanned my qr code today and got a https error (insecure connection, website could try to steal data, android). With my phone it*s the same I just checked. Do you have the same problem?
Edit: There is no problem with Firefox on the PC.

There's no CA/credentials to authenticate the user against the secure URL - or something like that.

Both browsers, Chrome and the built in one show red with crossed https. NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

Built in browser says:

Issued for:

I just typed this by hand :D

Maybe it is the wifi connection? I tried with typing bitshares.org in the browser and it is red. First I thought it has something to do with the qr generator.

I just asked someone to browse there with a blackberry and there is no mistake. So it depends which version the people use? But I am using auto-update, strange.

I had a similar issue with Bitsharesblocks, I had not added the certificate authority files from the ssl cert package to my server. The solution (for nodejs though) was this:

Ok but i'Ve added all certificate authority files on server ... but maybe somebody with root access to .org will have the chance to approve correct installation of certs
Anyway @svk: Did you get the chance to look into the Ticker issues on .org site?

Will ping you over skype .. also for this task here...
