Job Description:
Part of my job is bringing Investors. It's very important that we get these videos translated, so the widest possible audience can view them and google has some more text to index, bringing our websites more traffic. I need the 5 "captions.vtt" text files below translated into your language. If you FLUENTLY speak one of the following languages, then please download the "captions.vtt" text file below, translate it into your language and then email it to me so that I can embed it into the BitShares TV subtitles...
 
The BitShares 101 book also needs to be translated in German. 1000 BTS per chapter:

Beautiful job Akado!
I copied the raw text out of your email, pasted it into a captions_pt.vtt file, saved it as UTF-8 text format, imported that text file into the video, and now, if you click on the little gear icon, you can turn on the Portuguese subtitles:

By the way, short links (youtu.be/tvrLKYbfzc0) will not force subtitles, BUT to easily share a youtube video with someone speaking a different language, you can force the subtitles (assuming their Browser language settings) via a long link with parameters like this:

Ok, I finished the English subtitles on the 5th video today. It took like 9 hours. Youtube has an auto-generated english version, but it is horrible. There's no punctuation, no Capitalization where it should be, it misunderstands a lot of what Max says, they were a total mess.
It kept saying "bitches" instead of "BitShares" too :o
 
Anyway, glad that work is done. Now, we just need to find more people to translate them to their language and start spreading them around!
I'm going to do a ton of keyword (seo/sep) stuff to them as well next week so that we can get the numbers up.
I'LL MAKE'M VIRAL.
 
@inarizushi - will you be translating chapters 2-5 as well?

payments received. sent 1 more translation (chapter 4). Cmon guys, this is pretty useful, imagine showing a video virtually to anyone and be sure they would understand what this is about. Imagine people seeing videos in their language. It's not often you get a video, let alone a full series of them translated into multiple languages. People would see we are putting real work behind this. If I saw a video translated to my language I would see they care about my country and multiple demographics too, not only english.

And thanks ken for making the job easier. I really enjoy the format of the .vtt files, makes it easier to do. I feel although something relatively simple, this is very important.

Max, next time do multiple videos of 5m, instead of a single one of 15m  :P

You emailed me chapters 2 and 3, BUT:
Chapter 2 will not import. Please recreate that file, check your spelling, grammar, punctuation and make sure your sentences are not too long. Subtitles should be short sentences.
Chapter 3 is not complete. The file must be completely translated, as I do check every sentence.

Are the subtitles proofen by someone about quality etc.. ? Just curious.. Will they get proof read before from another native speaking person?
This is important IMO…

Pls don't get me wrong @all who helped with translating ... i'm just thinking sometimes 4 eyes are seeing more then 2..
It isn't personal critique ... but guess you know it :)!

The more the merrier, we need to bring those people in here.
I have to do a lot of editing to each of the files first, then I strip out the timing tags and paste the entire thing into google translator to make sure it makes sense.
 
Some comments have been made on grammar and spelling errors, but other than that, we just need to find even more people.
So far so good though, everyone has acted honestly.
 
I agree with you cass, 110%,
and no offense to those people who are translating. I know they have the best of intentions.

Does anyone know how to contact @sva_h4cky0 ??
Since May 7th, I have emailed this person's gmail account numerous times, and also PM'd them here on the forum numerous times, but with no reply. I still owe them the 2000BTS but have no idea where to send it.
 
As the price of BTS goes up, this would end up costing me a lot more value-wise, so if anyone here has contact with that person, please let them know that I am trying to pay them. I am not willing to pay 2000BTS anymore if the price on CMC tops 0.01€ per BTS, it's just not fair to me.
 
I hope you understand, but it has been impossible to reach this person, so please help me to pay them if you can. Have them PM me or reply to my emails at ken@bitshares-Munich.de thank you :)
