Meetup groups, in our opinion (at BitShares Munich) are the #1 best way to introduce people to BitShares, meet on a different day/time and at different locations each time, just have a drink and talk crypto, etc. You'll be amazed at how many people start showing up (http://meetup.com/BitShares-Munich)!! 8)
Now that we have mobile wallets with QR code abilities, it's finally possible to do some local trades!
(see OPENPOS thread in Project Development for updates)
Note: If you have an unlimited data plan on mobile then great, but use WiFi if possible. Open the mobile wallet, send or receive, then close the wallet or else the blocks will continue to sync in the background and suck up your data plan.
To claim your 2500 BTS, just get your Bitshares group created (https://secure.meetup.com/create/) and make sure it shows up here:

How long until we can have it in the Play store? Do they allow crypto wallets?
-
Yes, they allow crypto wallets (apple is a bit more strict tho) and I am going to submit the wallet to all the app stores once we are out of beta.
Take a look at alpha 10 release and lmk what u think! :)
