Dan? Stan? Any comments? Will Bitshares find itself in the crosshairs somehow?

Oh god this makes me fume.  "By the power vested in me by the Constitution". Is he for real?  The Constitution he craps on with the NDAA and any other number of sweeping executive decisions?  Urg.

Worst. President. Ever.

Can't wait for the next! Regardless of party affiliation, guaranteed to be just as shitty if not worse.

I wish we could get a Decentralized Candidate and Party. One where the active voting participant can have all the influence in politics as a billion dollar lobby firm. One where the candidates own personal leaning would have very little on the outcome of laws. One where drafted bills are "wiki" like edited by the constituents until a majority agree on its contents. One where you get to have your say on every senate or house vote that you feel is important.

I'll have to read up on the NDAA; this is the first I've heard of it yet it's been around since 1988. Was a Ronald Regan initiative: http://www.dod.mil/dodgc/olc/docs/PL108-375.pdf (http://www.dod.mil/dodgc/olc/docs/PL108-375.pdf)

I read through the link. I didn't read anything that would affect us, or most of crypto, in any way.

That would be ideal for sure. I'd settle for just the end of the two party system. It doesn't really matter who's in next. The US is so polarized it's basically two completely different countries living on top of each other.

The whole R vs D thing in the US is just heads we lose tails they win.

Yup, mostly targeting hackers and malware.. though uses vague enough terminology to cover most any cyber activity they consider a threat.  I find it interesting that they have declared a national emergency over it.  If I was a gambling man, I'd put my money on foreign hackers targeting the stock market again.  Black swan, perhaps?  :-X

I have a friend who has a site called "arrestwanted.com".  It never really took off with people who use paypal.  Maybe it could work in the cryptocommunity....

What if we accepted all cryptocurrencies, but stored them as a basket of bitAssets?  I bet we could get enough cash from the entire cryptosphere to get a high-dollar firm to put some of these people in prison.  What do you think?  Maybe the chilling effect can go both ways??

Yep.  This might actually be worth trying.

I mean there is no time limit to when you might have this cash called in.  It just keeps piling up until there is enough cash for a law firm to get interested enough to bite.
