Title: AGS Donation efficiency
Post by: santaclause102 on January 20, 2014, 10:30:13 pm
http://www1.agsexplorer.com/# shows that on average 47 btc and 2950 PTS are donated every day.

-> 5000/47 = 106 -> 106/71 (you get 71 PTS for 1 BTC right now) = 1.5
-> 5000/2950 = 1.69

So it is more efficient to donate PTS?

I think it's definitely more efficient, because not only are you getting more than 1 AGS per PTS, there will likely be more Bitshares X shares per AGS than per PTS. This is because half of them will be given to PTS holders, and the other half will be given to AGS holders, and there will probably be more PTS than AGS by the time Bitshares X is released. If the release is late though, then there may be more AGS than PTS, resulting in PTS having the better ratio. It all comes down to when Bitshares X is released

If my address shows up in this list http://www1.agsexplorer.com/# does it mean it is received? That only took 2 minutes!

Yup, your donation is now irreversibly set in the blockchain. Sometimes it'll take longer, but it just depends on how long it takes for the network to find a block.
