Title: Sending to a public key
Post by: krazyjakee on August 25, 2014, 09:41:01 am
My friend wants me to send him the registration fee but of course, he is not registered.
How do I send him the fee as the wallet has no feature to send to a public key?

choose the account you want to send from.  select transfer.  Just to the right of contact name there is a green box.  Select that green box.  That will bring up a window that will have an upper slot for account name, and a lower slot for public key.  I recommend using a format like local-name to ensure you don't accidentally send to the wrong account.  After you have entered those  two boxes  hit ok.  Select the amount, enter a memo if you feel like it and click send.

Gotcha, thanks.
It was blocking me because in my list of contacts it was saved under a different username.

You can also directly register someone else if you have their public key.  It will register them with whatever name you have them saved under in your contact accounts.  Generally I think its better to allow others to register themselves in case their chosen name is taken.
