Hello,
Moments ago bitcoin multibit keys where imported to wallet.
Instructions followed by these steps http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/Bitshares-x-how-to#Attempting_a_wallet_import_to_receive_BTSX_from_February_28th_snapshot
After the process= Keys from Bitcoin/PTS wallet were successfully imported!
Congratulations, but the BTSX funds are nowhere to be seen? Hopefully they apparate before markets open tomorrow!
-
Did you hold PTS or donated to AGS before the 28. Feb?
-
Or donated to the AGS fund BEFORE the 28. of febr?
Or are you a keyhotee founder?
otherwise you just don't have an initial stake

You can check what you should get here: http://www1.agsexplorer.com on Balance menu.

Hello,
I have been donating to AGS from day 1 and also have had PTS in my local wallet for the snapshot.
Using the AGS explorer confirms my expected balance for the bitcoin wallet and using command /listaddressgroupings shows all the PTS hidden addresses to search on the explorer.
There are lots of BTSX there but I am doing something wrong.
Using a modern MAC laptop?

1) locate you wallet.dat file from your bitshares-pts wallet (somewhere in %APPDATA%)
2) open up the BitSharesX wallet
3) create a wallet (passphrase)
4) create an account (account name)
5) to to that account and press the "advanced" tab
6) select your wallet.dat file in the import wallet menu
7) paste the passphrase for your PTS wallet!!!
8) your balance from the genesis stake should now in your account
Are you synced to the blockchain?
Go to the "console" in the menu and run "getinfo". Post the return lines here!

Thank you for the help,
Protoshares .dat was success but the multibit import is unsuccessful.

Ah .. yhea .. I heard about some issues with multibit ..
worst case would be for you to export/import all private keys by hand (in WIF format .. starting with "5....").
sorry about that .. I am sure the devs have that on their todo list ...
You're seeing your balance now?

Yes I can see the balance in BTSX client. BTC BTSX claimed by importing manually.
Thank you for your help!
I will send some BTSX your way ;D

Thx.
maybe one more advice: move your stake out of the genesis block to your REGISTERED ACCOUNT ... (of which you should have a backup)!!!
the reason: to backup your registered account you basically need only one private key!
to backup the genesis stakes you need one private key per STAKE/address...
-
rescan the blockchain if you use the command line client.
-
I had the same trouble as OP with Multibit.. manually importing the private keys is the solution for sure.

I am having the same issue. Can you elaborate, what is WIF format, how can I find the private key, and/or whatever else I need to establish WIF format? I already have exported the file.key
