Title: Invictus
Post by: Method-X on December 17, 2014, 12:18:01 am
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

Yes, I based the name of the company off the poem. Dan added the innovations part becoming I3. It works well.

Good poem. Nelson Mandela's favourite.

I see Paco Rabanne was so inspired by BitShares they decided to name a new male fragrance after you guys... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8lxGGx0R04   :P

This, in theory, is protected as free speech and does not constitute issuing a currency.

The million dollar question. I see this becoming a decisive issue moving forward. As Satoshi is a mystery and no legislation has been written to capture the essence of decentralized OS projects, the opportunity for the creators of a widely-adopted OS distributed digital asset class to be persecuted is non-zero. This seems to be a risk you are willing to take and I commend that, as doing so fits into your vision for this platform. If I had the skills I would help; unfortunately I do not, so I will be watching closely for the time being :)
Invictus

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

The most impressive thing stan did as it relates to the incorporation was somehow getting I3 incorporated on July 4th. To this day I don't know how he pulled it off.

Imagine

Imagine there's no contracts
Nothing you must do
Nothing to sue or cry for
And no lawyers too
Imagine all the people
Living in freedom...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

Imagine there's no punishment
It's easy if you try
No dungeons below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
