I think the coin will eventually be known as just MemoryCoin - just a question of when we drop the '2.0' - is it time yet?

I guess Memorycoin alone is good enough.

Well, let's hope not!
What I hope people realized from the transition from 1.0 to 2.0 was that I asked people to get involved with the coin, and so did my best to preserve their investment by maintaining balances from 1.0 to 2.0 so far as I was able. I don't want people to regret following my advice.

imo it sounds more official without '2.0' but prohibit the possibility of making a newer version.

Yes, I think we don't want people to feel it's going to be replaced with a newer version.

Not sure we need a vote, seems pretty clear to me, let's drop the '2.0' - In future, we're just MemoryCoin.
