We're working with metaexchange to achieve just this. It would really be the dream if we could one day get completely rid of our reliance the centralized exchanges.
I have faith in you, the community.
I just hope bitshares project will attract many talents like you because it's very profitable in potential due to bytemaster's economic model, and still evolving. In this perspective, maybe it is second to none in crypto.
To be specific, I think being a bridge can be profitable.
I'm still a believer, shit.

We don't have any good news yet, this is just a price correction after a deep deep oversell since January. We need good dev news, marketing news to support this level, or price will dive again.
Just my opinion. I just changed from a super bull to super bear due to the market performance.
I didn't sell a share though. I don't plan to sell at this shit price for any reason. A sad story indeed.

...How exactly are you supposed to buy BTS if you don't have CNY? The largest BTC market (BTC38) has only 1.25% of the total volume.
On btc38, BTC→CNY, CNY→BTS. This is how you purchase BTS with BTC for now.

VOTE and DNS should be understood as killed and the merger should be understood as buying out post-feb28 AGS/PTS holders. This leaves the 30m BTS stake for adam which has effectively been repurposed as a marketing fund. (edit: but that's just my opinion, mind you)
Ask me why proposals keep getting swept under the rug and then interpret my lack of response however you want.

« on: February 20, 2015, 03:03:43 am »I'm tired of trying to convince this community that having a customer base is critical or that the best time to acquire a business is when it's on the verge of failure. Dilution has been abused for all the wrong reasons but it won't be allowed for a good reason. Delegates are abused for all sorts of superficial matters but it won't be allocated to meaningful business moves like acquiring a customer base.
This the the second proposal I make that goes nowhere due to a total lack of perspective here. I proposed bridging Ripple to Bitshares to bring in liquidity and would have happily developed it myself but was opposed with libertarian rethoric that Ripple is centralized and bank friendly and therefore evil (nevermind the liquidity). Now people seem unable to see beyond the superficial of a failed exchange to look at its assets (nevermind the customer base, the liquidity, the ecosystem and the infrastructure).
This community really lacks business accumen and seems content maintaining the status quo. So be it. I wish you people all the best.
