Start by selecting the current set and then slowly replace them with ones you like better?

The wallet gives you some useful information: pay rate (the lower the pay rate, the more fees are burned as dividends) and reliability (% of last x many blocks the delegate missed). When I've gone through and voted, what I've done is decided on a reliability threshold (I like 98%) and a pay rate threshold (I chose 90%) and then voted for everybody above that reliability line and everybody below that pay line. Then I went through and looked for names I recognize or forum members I particularly respect, and voted for them as well.

not yet .. but it's a good idea ..
