Pretty self explanatory.
We are in the midst of getting some programming done and are considering attempting to support ETH mining.. however there are a few things to consider:
- It will cost us extra to get it done because it's a whole new protocol
- From what I have read from the experience of others, it is still quite buggy
- Do people mining ETH really want to get paid out in BitAssets today?
I think it would be a great addition, but perhaps we should wait until its more stable.
Thought I would put it out to the community anyways to see if there was any interest.
Another post is coming tomorrow regarding everything else going on. :)

I say wait and instead implement sha256
-
sha256 would be nice

please!
+5%
I think it is worth doing it marketing wise. All attention goes to ethereum right now and it will last!
Better sooner then later!

Whatever brings in more users and profit for BitShares. That's what matters. Instead of paying them with BitAssets you could pay them with MKRCOIN. Could probably persuade them more.

I want to mine Brownie.PTS :P

Some of you mentioned sha256 support.. we actually are doing that already with the updates. I just wanted to see if an effort should be made with Eth..
But we might get cut off and the knees before I can get these done now... https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,18249.0.html

Big Update:
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,18253.0.html
Notice it doesn't include ETH.. :) .. I am going to hold off on that until Phase 3.. by then they might be more stable.

AFAIK Mining of ETH will end soon and ETH switches to POS, so don't waste a time. :)

Data, have you thought about providing MKRCOIN to Eth miners in the future? Could be a nice persuasive method of bringing eth users here and strengthen the relationship between bitshares and ethereum.

Good to know.. probably would have turned out in the wait period.

If there is a demand we can technical make payouts in any bitasset.. so even if we are not mining eth we can still consider mkrcoin
