k, try changing the entire os's default font. this issue has been reported already, but so far it seems as though some fonts are not supported by mac. Did you use the installer or did you compile it yourself?
-
A temporarily fix to see your address is: Receive -> mark your address -> copy address -> paste it in another program.

I take it you are a mac user, did you compile your own or use the binary? Do any other areas have this problem or it is just the address you cannot see? Is the problem there under the transactions tab?
-
Yes I'm a mac user and i installed the binary version. The problem is also occurring in the "pay to" field(so i can't see what I'm typing), but not in the transactions tab.
-
ok, you cant see completelyor it's the boxes again? sorry, please indulge me, i have an interest in getting this bug fixed but i do not have access to a mac machine, which version of mac btw?
-
Thats okay, I'm glad to help:) yep the boxes again. They are there before i start typing as well. Mavericks 10.9 on macbook air mid 13.
-
ok, so that has really helped narrow it down. if a copy paste to another app is working then it is a problem between QT and mavericks. have you tried changing the entire system's default font? perhaps a different font will display properly.
-
no, i haven't. I don't know if there's any easy way to change the system font in Mavericks without screwing things up..

ok, i'll try something and see what happens.

iam using 10.8.4 and all works fine .. so i guess it should be QT > 10.9 issue ...

I also have problems with my Mac QT wallet. Actually I can't even see the wallet where it belong which is supposed to be located in library/Application Support/Protoshares. I am still looking for it in other folders.

Thxs my friend. I am finding the wallet.dat also. I point it now.
But by the way, my address of wallet in the dialog is still invisible.
Could you tell some solutions to do with?

10.9 u are using!? I don't know why ... Iam on 10.8 and it works fine there ...
-
Yes, I'm using 10.9.
You know when I firstly installed the protoshares, everything is ok. But now I cannot see the address in the address' dialog after updating the mac os.

I finally found the wallet file. Thanks so much. I had to use the terminal to unhide it. Need to write the following in the terminal and it is case sensitive: defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
