With all the amazing brain power present in this forum, how about using it to power through the wiki and upgrade it?
The more of us, the faster we can get this thing done!
I propose to start at 2PM EST. We can communicate in the "smoking room" of mumble.
If you don't have access the the bitshares wiki, please let us know.

And I would agree that having a group mumble would really help to coordinate a group effort and get the page updated in real time. Even if we only do this every other week it will be worth it imo!

Good start to raise the awareness.

+5% great idea to give the BitShares wiki a much needed overhaul. I also like the idea of deploying a gitbooks and reworking the essentials into that format as a refactoring exercise.

I was planning to work on the wiki some back in february, and fuzzy set me up an account, and then bter happened and I couldnt even think about BTS for weeks without pain. I'll try to improve the page about how the market peg works soon.

Are the two wiki's the same content?.. Is there duplicate detail and then some difference in detail for example installing?

I've already wondered the github is the more reliable one.
No, totally different content. github is almost entirely produced by devs. wiki.bitshares.org was 98% community 2% devs.
At one point I had stuff of a technical nature but I removed it as it wasn't working..
+5% to everyone. The wiki is fairly high page ranked etc now. It needs to be saved. For the end user, AFAIK it is still the best resource.

Thanks Ken. Just a heads up the horizontal line marks the start of my take on the intro paragraph. Also I'm hoping to have a draft submitted much earlier than May 1st... ASAP even!

Me too, I never post a date that can be breached tho. I know we can probably have it done in a few days actually and by the looks of it, our Wiki will be twice as informative as Ethereum's. We have a lot of stuff to brag about as you'll see from all my edits in there :

lol, will make it top of the page. That should earn us some trust. May be the idea is so great we don't really need the wiki.
