True but when it does finally launch, I think there will be a massive rally (and subsequent crash).

How, where would all that new money come from on launch? Most people that wanted into ethereum have already got in on the IPO. I expect price to stay pretty level for a few months (as well as a few dips even possibly).

I hear you and agree that it's critical to have a successful fundraising.

But something to consider is whether allocating 10% only to PTS/AGS would really maximize the pre-sale. I think the people most likely to participate as donors/investors and to drum up support for the fundraising are the PTS and AGS holders themselves. These early donors/investors are the ones who best understand the potential of this music DAC, who are familiar with the BitShares approach, and who are proven donors.

In my view, going from an earlier stated 25% to 10% could piss off some PTS and AGS holders and maybe lead to lower funding than you could get by keeping them reasonably happy. For example, 15% for each would be far better than 10% (50% higher amount), but it  would only reduce the rest of the allocation from 80% to 70%. Is that extra 10% really going to make a big difference for the pre-sale? I can see how losing the goodwill of PTS, AGS holders could easly cost more than 10% of fundraising.

I might re-enter at these levels, I expect it to go down.

General Discussion / Re: Was TITAN a bad idea (terribly timed feature)?

TITAN is just about number one on my list why I am using bitshares (equally it would be transaction speed).

To get rid of TITAN would be insane in my opinion. Anonymous coins will pretty much be the norm going forward. Why would it be any other way?

Well, I think it shows that the token she holds will fetch the holder $1 given some time.  If she offers it at a discount ($0.90) I believe there will be other people willing to scoop it up knowing that they will eventually get $1 for it, assuming Bob doesn't take the opportunity.

Maybe Alice shouldn't be buying things that she doesn't want.  All in all, I think with enough people participating my belief is that this problem does not exist and is purely academic.

That's right. All markets will move to equilibrium (price parity) given enough time and liquidity.

The only reasons the peg is slightly off presently is the wallet software (could be more stable and also needs to help the user know when opportunities arise), not enough traders and few abritage opportunities at the moment.

Yea I've been following it. Bter just seems to follow whatever btc38 does however, so that DOM indicator isn't all that important I feel; Unless I'm missing something?

24
Seems to be a bit of resistance at the 38.2% fib level. What level will be support if we drop down again? The last bottom?

25
As I'm someone who isn't a massive trader; do you expect resistance or reversals on the way back up at the fib levels? Or impossible to tell?

Given those facts here are some additional things I have realized:
1) There is never any reason for new BitUSD to be created below the market value
This we agree on.  So, please just make the change that prevents any short that is below the median price feed from being matched.  Believe it or not, this is all you need to do.

Everything else is over complication, wasted time, and opening new attack vectors.

Any reason not to make the change?
+5% completely agree. Its pretty close to working no need for drastic changes. This suggestion would help dramatically till the market matures.

27
We haven't dropped low enough yet, because bitUSD still aint moving down, no danger of margin calls yet.

Don't we need a bitBTC <-> BTSX market before this one to create the bitBTC to trade? Or I am mistaken

EDIT: NM I worked it out.
