I am looking for a graphics designer who can help us brand Keyhotee which is our ID, Wallet and Communication client. It is named after Don Quixote because of our idealistic goals of decentralizing everything and slaying the dragon of tyranny. We are thinking a theme of Honor, Nobel, Virtue, Knights, Security, Windmills, Dragons, Medieval, Horses, etc.
This bounty will accept submissions of draft ideas over the next 2 weeks after which I will select the top contenders for a poll and then award the bounty to the winner who will have 1 week to tweak the designs and send me the source images.
In addition to paying the bounty to the winner, I will award every individual who provides a meaningful submission with 0.25 BTC toward a Genesis Block Keyhotee ID of their choosing: http://invictus-innovations.com/genesis-block-founder
The bounty will be paid in BTC using the BitStamp price for conversion.
The splash screen should be high resolution, detailed, and pretty at resolutions up to 640x640. The icon should be simple and elegant but fit in the theme. For inspiration on the current Icon I am using a Shield because it denotes protection and security.

May need a base color for all further designs. You don't want Protoshares, keyhotee and bitshares even Invictus icons look completely different.

I love it! I am thinking the background image would be nice to have separate from the Logo + KEYHOTEE as a watermark for various UI elements.

I like the idea of using some sort of "special" Mambrino's Helmet as the logo because:
- If you own and wear a helmet that is unique in the world, everybody knows that this guy with that helmet is you.
- A helmet protects you, but something like Mambrino's Helmet makes you invulnerable.
- A good name has value, same with a pure gold helmet.
- Don Quixote wanted this helmet for himself.

Another try now with more realistic data such as loading bar and a quick balance summary. I want to use this example to show it would be great to have a dynamic splash/loading screen. The header and footer will always be the same but the middle part is dynamic. This can be a nice way to bring out a quick news headline, have rotating splash images or let the user base participate in creating splash screens. A bit in the way google changes his logo or the bing search engine changes it's background image on a daily base. When there's no splash screen available it can jump back to the default logo and loadingbar.

Love the concept behind Godcreation's dandelion puff ball logo.
Something special here that really gets across that idea of freedom... carrying of essential data to far away place if you really want to read into it.
Also the 2 tone colour scheme separating key hotee works really well too.
Going with one theme always works best, i wouldnt mix the sword and the puff ball as the message gets lost.
Also its not necessary to explain the phonetically spelt 'Keyhotee' further. As Stan said the word can be a meaningless word like google thats just becomes identifiable with the brand.

I am thinking the Alpha version will use some parts of the splash screens presented, but I don't quite see a finished product.
As you can tell from my prior posts I like parts of 3 different entries.

My hard drive fryed so I lost the original .svg it's possible to re-do it again if required, to be honest across the board you need a proper graphic designer to handle this. I hope changes are quickly implemented especially here - http://invictus-innovations.com/ the whole look and feel is way too early 90's a completely damaging image I'm sure is putting many off. There's 3 subtle colour combinations and also the logo in 3 variants. I've recreated the original .svg I lost it's pretty much the same in most respects. If you can let me know if there's anything you want modifying and which colour combination suits then I can send all the appropriate files over .
*I've switched to the American spelling of "decentralized" if you prefer I can switch back to decentralised.

The only way to get new talent into this industry is to adopt a more inclusive model. If we are always saying "we need to do this within the crypto-community", we are forgetting that all of us were once "outsiders"...
Competition breeds innovation and innovation is the mainstay of ANY crypto-community that is going to last. Just my two cents.

When i said "crypto community" sure new talented persons can dive into! I made same 1.5 years before! But as we can see with website task, you can hire a professional design agency but nonetheless satisfied.
I think main problem on bountie task is the speculative work. Sure when you have time no problem. But on complex tasks (1-2 weeks working time) most designers don't participate cause time/risk component.
edit: i worked as an designer on 99designs also. But this really sucks, for both sides - designer & client. If you wanna get qualified work and designs you should work with 1|2 designers over time to build consistence branding/image.

Sure i'm personally interested. Im even shareholder and also want to contribute what i can do best - design.
Followed all design and web dev bounties from the begining, but as you can see, just since a few days i have started to help and contribute more active in this section.
Why? Cause i believe i can help to improve bitshares site.
Feel free to join us on github so you can start to improve site also. At the end only result is important. Pls Correct me, if i'm wrong.
