Expert Graphic Artist wanted. Comp: 5,000BTS!

Job Description:
I'd like someone to recreate the header image a bit, sponsor image (must be 120x90) and background image for the http://meetup.com/BitShares-Munich page. Here are the 2 images you'll need for the header image:

For the tiling background of the page, I want to get rid of the clouds, and use these cool dark-blue triangles that you see behind the big green button labeled "OPEN YOUR ACCOUNT": https://bitshares.org
In the header image, I want the light blue "b" logo to replace the multi-color "b" that I have on there now. No pixelation, maximum rez. Give it some kind of subtle drop-shadow, or maybe cut it out, be creative, give it some punch, draw the eye to it, nothing tacky. Show me a few examples. PNG everything, lossless.

problem with these subtask is .. if you want to get the "cool dark-blue" effect then you'll need a gradient background which IMO is really sub optimal for pattern backgrounds .. just said

there we go. i love the triangles in the sky. the "b" still needs some work though. the top of the roof looks funny now too.
this is gonna get interesting now with the background. mixing patterns rarely ever look good. you gotta go solid on one, solid on both, but not both patterned.
hmm, how the heck am i gonna divvy up 5000bts to 50 people? jeez guys, i thought just one person could nail it. i'll let you guys decide who gets what % then :)
keep it goin tho, this is gonna be awesome, very impactful!! woot!!

I tried to cleanup the B and the roof top a little. The roof is tricky because the little barbs color is really close to the sky color so transparency acts weird... probably why cass just left them off.

ok, if my shot of the Munich Marienplatz building is not high quality enough, maybe you can dig up another one for the header that has that badass impactful look to it..
Sorry guys, nothin is really poppin at me yet. I'm goin for impact here. Something that will make newbies to BitShares Munich take a look at our meetup page and say "holy sh*t, who the hell are these guys?" (in Deutsch of course)

maybe just take out those two towers and have "BitShares" instead of the "B" only. Wouldn't look so messy and it would have space for the logo

I think the "b" should be on the left if we use the full logo, then just type Munich underneath of it, maybe italicized or something.
The city shot though.. Not sure, but I don't think those mountains exist there and locals would probably snicker. I didn't take that photo either so i might get in trouble for using it. Do you guys think I should just use a different city shot altogether or go out there and shoot with my 8mp camera at max rez?

I can look for other photos to use, that one is a free to use photo. Not sure about the mountains though...never been to Munich :P
I'll redo the same photo w/ Logo on left side and post in 15-20 mins.

img dimensions for meetup header images are different, or is this for another task? just curious :)

I did them for the Meetup header images, but they need to get resized to 958x158pxl. Which I can do, just wanted to get some ideas flowing :)

You know...for starting off as a simple joke... I'm really starting to like this idea the more I looked at it, so I made adjustments and fit to the pixel requirements. It's not a boring photo IMO and could have some longevity.
I think this could be great for additional Meetup.com pages. Thoughts?

This is the new best IMO. Maybe we could use the bitshares logo that has the "b" built in to it with the greenish "bit"? You know, the logo Cass did that I have on our tri-fold flyers..
The white gradient is a good idea too, as it offset the logo and added much needed "punch" to it.
A more elegant font for "Munich" is needed, Times New Roman is ok, but it's so common..
Cass, delulo, xeroc... Those mountains don't exist, right? If I head south or east they do (Traunstein area, etc), but I have never noticed them from Marienplatz area.. When you walk around in town, you don't see any nature at all beyond the tall buildings that surround you.

I can rearrange it when I get back this evening. I like the mountains also, but are they photoshopped in?? I can always scale the photo down and get them back in there.

2) Remove the words "MEETUP GROUP"
3) Stylize the word "MUNICH" just a bit so that it looks like we are an "Edition" of the BitShares brand. Maybe just italicize it or cut it into the background..?

the cutout of the "b" is perfect.
move the "bitshares" up just a bit so that
"MUNICH" can be smaller again and go underneath again.
no need to cutout the buildings like that, leave them flat the way they were.
in the smallest image, bottom right corner, make the white "b" a little bigger.
we need to see the "11" building. so move those two pillars to the left (I think) so that we can see them to the left of the white "b" nd the triangular shaped building to the right of the white "b". those are the two most popular buildings here.

The menu is not part of the header image, so please slice that off. Exact dimensions should be: 960x150px.
As long as the background will tile correctly and the sponsor image are sized properly, everything looks awesome!! :)
