Title: Will BitShares 2.0 Provide Open-source Gateway or Exchange?
Post by: clayop on June 20, 2015, 04:06:57 am
I looked at Ripple's gatewayd (https://github.com/ripple/gatewayd) and thought that it is awesome.

If BTS 2.0 provide similar open-source gateway, or CCEDK-like exchange, it would be great.

Gatewayd's features include:

deposits and withdrawals
issuing currency
robust Ripple payment sending
incoming Ripple payment monitoring
gateway administration
support for custom plugins

Sounds doable ... perfect thing for a worker proposal ..

And "gateway-in-a-box"

Any news / information / documentation on this? For either Gateway / Exchange or integration with ie Ripple.?

Note: Ripple gatewayd is no longer available https://ripple.com/dev-blog/gatewayd-no-longer-available/

I would like to chip in here to tell you all that both Ripple gateway a well as Ripple as currency is expected to be added to CCEDK no later than next week, only delay is due to developers having their vacation.

As additional information Stellar and Monero are the next currencies after Ripple to be integrated on CCEDK prior to be able to present it all on Bitshares/CCEDK wallet.
