Yes - there was an option to import my 0.9.3 wallet backup OR import my private keys exported from the console - at least that is what I observed when I imported into the open ledger web wallet then clicked through to claim my balances. I found it to be very easy.

you need to go back to the wallet management console .. there you will see a balance and a "claim balance" button that you need to click ..

are you sure your funds are accessible with that private key?? you may need to use bitshares 0.9.3 first to scan for your balance .. if you see your balance in 0.9.3 you can export your wallet propery as described in docs.bitshares.eu/migration
