Title: brainkey and 1.0 accounts
Post by: jaran on October 13, 2015, 11:52:36 pm
I created a new 2.0 account and then imported my 1.0 account without issues on mac light wallet.  Then i created a backup and got the brainkey of that wallet.

Anyway i wanted to test the brainkey so i created a new wallet on windows by using the brainkey.  It recovered the new 2.0 account I created but it did not recover my 1.0 imported account.  I had to still import my old 1.0 keys to gain access to the imported 1.0 account.

Is that how its suppose to work or did I do something wrong?

the brain key can technically only regenerate those accounts that you have created with the new GUI ..
ever imported accounts need to be reimported manually .. we should make this more clear  ..

Thanks for the clarification. that's what i figured.  I was wondering if i was going to blow up my account by re-importing again but figured what the hell :)
