Title: [EBM] CCEDK
Post by: clout on November 12, 2015, 06:29:15 pm
CCEDK is a danish based altcoin exchange that produces about 15% of BTS/BTC daily trading volume. CCEDK has bitasset markets, but none of those markets have any liquidity. It is also a gateway for BTC, LTC nd. Given that CCEDK’s entire trading volume comes from the BTS/BTC market it would make more sense for CCEDK to primarily provide a gateway functionality in the same way that Blocktrades does. The one advantage that CCEDK has over Blocktrades is that it accepts fiat deposits and withdrawals using SWIFT bank transfers and PAYEER. If CCEDK provided a fiat gateway for USD, BitUSD markets would be more efficient, reducing the spread and the premium of BitUSD over USD. Additionally, exchanges that trade entirely in crypto currencies because of the cost associated with holding fiat currency on others behalf can provide fiat deposits and trading through CCEDK.USD.

Goal: Get CCEDK to provide fiat gateway (primarily for USD) as well as fiat to bitasset bridge

How do we incentivize CCEDK to provide fiat gateway for USD and bridge support for bitassets?

CCEDK is already doing that via OpenLedger's OPENUSD.  CCEDK is one of the most active partners, if not the most active, right now.

Doesn't that involve too many steps, though? We need to make a gateway "click, click, click" easy for people, or else this will always be a limited niche market.

OPENUSD isn't registered by OpenLedger. Hopefully we can get them to be a USD gateway soon, however.

If you click on the asset, you will find that OPENUSD is described as 'USD backed by CCEDK'.  It was issued by angel on behalf of CCEDK.

huh...did I just post something about angel(s) in another thread.[I am getting old, I truly do not remember. But it seams I might have.]

All, I know is that the plural is puffing it unnecessarily.

Also, has CCEDK said anything about becoming a bridge for bitassets?
