ref system not working for 1 week is a disaster. I guess we (marketers) already lost 100s of new sign-ups in the last 2 days

and those people will never come back, since the wallet looks super buggy and unusable that way

I have had 5929 clicks on http://bit.ly/BitShares-Exchange (http://bit.ly/BitShares-Exchange) but only 17 referrals.

This unexpected bug also hurt me in one of business meetings last week.
It takes time and effort to arrange such meetings. We go there with our reputation at stake and then something like this happens.
Please, be careful about these bugs or at least warn us beforehand.

OpenLedger's faucet script had a private workaround for one of the referral system glitches fixed by this release.  This private fix doesn't play nicely with the "proper" fix which was included in the new cli_wallet.

The correct people have been notified of the problem and how it should be solved; the faucet should be fixed soon.
