Title: New User Bitshares will not open to Registration page

Greetings:  I am new to this and have tried to get bitshares to run..  It downloaded easily to a file.  Ran the download and as expected it setup in Program files.  I cannot get it to run to the first screen to create an account.  I am using win XP.  And Mozilla as a browser.  I tried Google but that failed to open this site, protocol not supported.  Any ideas?  When I try and run the bitshares2-light.exe,  it comes back as not a valid Win32 application.
