Title: Newbie here: how do I transfer BTS to another wallet without buying BTC?

Hi,

I want to transfer BTS to a different wallet, but it looks like I have to buy a different coin first. Can someone help me? Thanks!

No, you don't have to buy another coin first. Go to "Send" tab and chose BTS, destination address and amount to send.

If I go to 'Send (beta)' I get: 'Transfers are used for sending funds ton other BitShares Account Holders' I don't want to send it to a Bitshares Account holder, I want to send it to another adress. What am I doing wrong?

What do you mean by "another address"? Bitshares address is account name. Just type in account name where you want to send funds and click "Send".

Ah! sorry, misread.. I thought it was only to bitshares.org account names.. Like I said, newbie :) Thanks!
