We have a single web wallet online for everyone to access. You can send to/from the web wallet from your CLI wallet. Don't be a dick and empty the wallet!
I repeat: YOU CAN SEND YOURSELF FUNDS WITHOUT HAVING TO ASK US
Advanced users can try running their own copy locally.
When we release the real client, it will be this web wallet wrapped in a Qt thing so you will have the usual one-click local app launch experience.
Don't create an account with a name that is pre-registered. We don't have "rename" enabled yet, and the client will not let you send when it is ambiguous (local contact "nikolai" or registered contact "nikolai"?)

your name was a founder ID (pre-registered in blockchain) and we dont' have a "rename" feature (yet), so I can't send you funds (you are blocked from sending funds if it is ambiguous if you are referring to a local or registered name).
Make a new account using the web interface and then you can send yourself funds from account "x" to yourself

But my founder ID is registered to an address that I don't know rather than the public key I registered.

follow the instructions to generate the app
and replace .htdocs in config.json with the generated directory.

Only thing that I wondered: When a transactions is unconfimred/pending, the balances is already substracted
from what 'wallet_list_receive_accounts' shows. That should be changed
And, where can I check that my delegation-vote is broadcasted? After voring for coolspeed I couldn't find him anymore via 'blockchain_get_delegates'

Why does registering as delegate cost exactly 4,324,119 XTS?

I create 2 wallet in the same client, "from" and "to", then transfer, the transfer is success, and i see the wallet "from" balance is reduce, then open wallet "to", use get_info, the balance is no change.
After use wallet_rescan_blockchain, the wallet "to" balance is correct.
Is this a bug?

Finally I run it up!

This works on ubuntu 14.04:

However when I attempt to run the last installation command "npm install" I get:

Can the bitshares_toolkit be run in C/S mode whithout JSON-RPC, which is based on HTTP?
I mean just like mysqld and mysql command line client.
Or do I need to run it in GNU screen or something like this on the server even when I use it only as a JSON-RPC server?

Not sure if you need the PTS key ... I thought we will need the keyhotee privkey .. but i am not sure.
Any info about that from Bytmaster/Stan?
Edit: I am also not so sure about the amounts in 'genesis.json' .. are the founder-donations already somewhere? Or will there be a different genesis block? I cannot find the amount I was sending for the founder id.

Don't forget, to vote you have to not only set the trust level but also make some transactions (even to yourself). "Votes" happen on the "deposit" operation.

yep, sent me some XTS to myself after setting trust level for a few delegates.
Unrelated, but I seem to have found another (seemingly minor) bug:
at first, I had registered wackou2 as a normal account, but then tried to upgrade it to a delegate, but using the wallet_account_register instead of wallet_account_update_registration.
This failed (because the account was already registered) but created a transaction anyway that has been pending since then (the fee has not been credited, though). Even after a blockchain rescan it is still there. I then later tried to upgrade it using the wallet_account_update_registration, which worked, but I still have the old one pending in the wallet.

I think it is good to open a bug in github and cross-post it here so that people scanning this thread know what has been caught and can help debug. Not everyone is on github.

How can I vote against a delegate?
I tried to set the trust_level less then zero to delegate-4

When you transfer funds, it un-votes whoever the funds voted for in the last deposit and votes for the new guy. So sending to yourself just slowly removes votes as you keep paying some to fees =). So at any given moment, 100% of the stake is voting for or against a delegate.
Trust level is just local to wallet, it is used by the wallet to figure out who to vote for. It will attempt to pull votes off of untrusted, downvoted untrusted, upvote inactive trusted with most votes, and upvote active with least votes, in that order.

Thanks, that's what I figured the trust level was but nice to see a confirmation. I like the voting logic, should keep things honest as well as mix things up a bit, assuming people set multiple delegates.
About my possible "exploit", someone with a big stack could use this to vote themselves into being a chosen delegate by paying the 10,000bips fee? Not really a big deal I guess though considering how delegates actually work..

There is a difference between "registering as a delegate" (small fixed fee) and actually getting voted into the active delegates (top N).
Practically anyone can register, and someone with a large amount of stake can vote themselves in as a real delegate.

Sorry if I just missed it here or on GitHub, but is there instructions somewhere on how to fully uninstall the bitshares_toolkit and start over?
I tried blowing out the bitshares_toolkit and /root/.BitSharesXTS directories and then reinstalling to start over but now I'm getting wallet command errors.
I guess the good news is that I do seem to be connected now and I can resync the blockchain and getinfo just fine however wallet commands either tell me that a file is open or doesn't exist.

This is part of the security system called multi-part transactions... instead of combining your inputs (leaking info about your identity), it created 3 transactions. I will have to look closer to see why the numbers don't add up to 100000000 like they are supposed to.

This is part of the security system called multi-part transactions... instead of combining your inputs (leaking info about your identity), it created 3 transactions. I will have to look closer to see why the numbers don't add up to 100000000 like they are supposed to.

For me, I got this after I re-imaged the VPS completely and started over.
Same result when starting with the --data-dir default flag.
Re-imaging VPS for another shot at it now.

You're sure you deleted the data-dir? If so, are you manually specifying the genesis block or something?
That looks like what happens when you sync from scratch with the wrong blockchain
For me, I got this after I re-imaged the VPS completely and started over.
This issue is due to a bug that I have fixed but will result in a hard fork. I added some sanity checks on votes / balances adding up properly and some old blocks violate this. I will investigate this after lunch today.
Denny / Hackfisher just arrived and is now working with us from the BitShares Bunker somewhere in SW VA :)
