There was a bug in the interest calculation that will be fixed in v0.4.23: https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares_toolkit/issues/877

Users should avoid covering until 0.4.23 is released.

Do we need to download the new wallet or can we update it from our current wallet?  Is there a non-techie walkthrough on how to do this easily?

You will need to download the new wallet. The update feature is only for minor gui updates.

vikram, if the extra bitcny has been coverd in 0.4.21version, how to return the extra bitcny to the account.

I am very sorry yangsbo, but the extra bitcny has been paid into fees and cannot be recovered. We have added another test to make sure we do not make another mistake with this calculation in the future.

I would have another suggest
I have a cover order, with about 100 CNY short position.
If I cover it with 150 CNY, it will execute with nothing return, I think this doesn't make sense, the 50 CNY should return.

Edit: this happened about 1 month ago, I don't know if it's still like this.
