Title: Why can't we share BitAssets over Twitter to kickstart the gift economy?

What would it take to accomplish building a trade network over Twitter?

Software agents could communicate over Twitter, it should be possible in theory for trades to execute over Twitter, so why shouldn't marketing focus on Twitter?

Suppose I want to give a gift to all my 50,000 Twitter followers so I give them all some BitGLD?
This could kickstart the gift economy via Twitter.

Additionally a Twitter bot could facilitate trades of BitUSD -> BitBTC -> BTC.
Someone would simply initiate the trade of BitUSD for BTC via a tweet. The Twitter bot would then handle the order acting as a software agent between the buyers and sellers.
