Title: About short covering
Post by: 天籁 on November 16, 2014, 02:02:32 am
Currently short will due in a month. When shorts are due, if there are funds in the short account, I think the system should better automatically try to use these funds to cover, and then use systemic buyback for those cannot be covered. Is the system currently acting like this or else?

As in, if the account has non-bts funds of the same denomination as the short?

That would seem more sensible than an applicable strategy involving simultaneous short/long exposure in the same bitAsset, as much as everybody does it. I mean, discounting the bitAsset yield, and USD hyperinflation, then there are surely ways to achieve the same net exposure using less capital.
