Title: Trade PTS in Ripple - xrpio.com
Post by: deweller on December 02, 2013, 01:12:15 pm
I wanted to trade Protoshares in the Ripple market.  And since there was no gateway for Protoshares (PTS), I decided to create one.

The result is http://www.xrpio.com/

For now, it is only a protoshares gateway, but I plan to add other cryptocurrencies (BTC, LTC, etc) soon.

Anyone want to trade protoshares?  Try it out and let me know if you have suggestions for improvements.

Until the market grows, you can use it as a third party escrow service.

Ripple is a great place to trade cryptocurrencies as there is no percentage fee for trading.  Gateways may charge a small fee (like mine does), but you can buy and sell with virtually no fee.

Ripple can be used to trade in fiat currencies (like USD).  Ripples (XRP) is the "native" currency, but you can use Ripple to trade and transfer funds in any number of currencies.

Here is a good post by John Light (creator of litecoin): http://letstalkbitcoin.com/the-decentralized-exchange-for-fun-profit/

My gateway takes a small percentage (0.2%) when users take money out of ripple back their personal wallet.

So, users can load in cryptocurrency (PTS) for free, trade all they want for free, and then pay a small fee when they want to remove their protoshares.

Are the deposit and withdraw process automation? It seems take some time to see it in Ripple after I send PTS to my deposit address.
