Please add below if you can think of anything I'm missing.  I have to go to bed before I get yelled at again! :D    (happy valentines day btw everyone!)

Maybe this is real dumb.
But I have often wondered if DPOS would be a solution to movements.

Like the occupy movement.
Delegate proposal: I'm gonna pitch a tent on wallstreet. wich would be a marketing delegate.
Delegate proposal: crowdfunding, with rewards donate X and have your picture on our tents, profits will be held in occupy usd.
Delegate: just raising funds and awerness....

You guys think too small. DPOS could replace a government. Police/Hospital/ect... could all be delegates voted in.

We just need to go forward with the concept of seasteading and implement our own decentralized government there! Once it works, the world will follow  :P

I actually 100% agree with this, but we would need MANY DPoS Governments to keep the checks on each delegate's power.  Some services (like media, gateways, exchanges...etc) would like delegates that span across many DPoS chains...and this makes sense since they would never be guaranteed a delegate in any system and thus would be casting the net as widely as possible.

What about government agencies?

The FDA.

You can do what the FDA does using blockchain tech in a decentralized manner. Would it be as good as the FDA? It depends. An example of what you could do on a blockchain is this: https://www.consumerlab.com/
