Title: help with an error message

Hi

I just downloaded the latest client and logged into my account (first time since september i think) and i tried to make a small transfer just to play around. I got the following error message. invalid transaction expiration (31011)

Please can someone advise what i have to do?

Looks like you are not synced; wait until you get "Blockchain is synced" in the status bar.

Hi Vikram, you were right i was not synced. I have tried multiple times to sync since but it never gets all the way without crashing. I have tried carrying on without re downloading the blockchain and i have tried re-downloading a fresh copy. Whatever i try it crashes. Any advise would be welcome.

You are using recent version at least 0.6.0? Try 0.6.2 if you haven't already. What operating system and what computer specs?

ive been trying 6.1 i will try 6.2. For the spec of the machines i have two computers which i am trying to sync (not at the same time, if it makes any difference) One an old windows xp with 3GHz processor 3gb RAM and the other is a windows 7 pro with i5-2310 16gb RAM. I have exactly the same problem with both PC's

Hard to say.. At what point does it crash? Are you doing anything when it crashes?

Can you try deleting everything in your client data directory EXCEPT for the "wallets" folder and sync from scratch?

That didn't work either, i eventually got it synced by continually restarting it without resetting the data base. I have managed to send a couple of transactions but they don't appear. Is that because the transaction scanning is in progress?
