Title: Hey delegates! Do you love your coin?
Post by: btcxyzzz on March 31, 2015, 05:34:42 pm
... If so, then please stop dumping it!

BTS price is the marketing itself and no one's gonna jump into constantly falling market. Especially when Ethereum arrives, Bitshares would need to have a lot of strength to compete.

Such a nice system killed by greed, that's all I have to say. Just take a look at SAD price graph, does Bitshares deserve this!?

in theory , if delegates dump at low price , it'll be better than dump at higher price .
because dump it at low price would consume less fiat value from the market .  :o

I thought someone already showed that even if every delegate dumps all their pay, that would only account for ~1% of the daily volume on BTC38, thus disproving this line of thinking that delegate dumping is causing price drops.

Honestly, BTC is slowly dropping, and all altcoins are dropping quicker - probably a lack of excitement about bitcoin in general, and altcoins (or bitcoin 2.0 projects) are more sensitive to lack of interest

So that means investors are caching out with loss... Weird. I would not say all altcoins are doing badly, just take a look at Darkcoin and Monero...

I for one still haven't sold a dime, although sometimes I wish I had.. I've kept shorting bitUSD, bitCNY and bitGOLD as well so I've been losing there too :( Wish I were a better trader, lol!

Actually we cannot say anything about delegate how to deal his income ,because it is income belong to them. but what delegate bring to BTS,  we have so many marketing delegates  what they really do , it is too difficult to evaluate their contribution  .

Yeah just like that... new wealth is too much centralized I guess, hence the slow decline of price. I'm in doubt it will ever rise again, and seems I'm going to sell with huge loss.

Let me see.
Very low post count--check
Talk of bitshares never recovering--check
Trying to increase fear, uncertainty and doubt--check
Trying to blame/divide the delegates that provide the backbone of bitshares' value proposition--check
Citing incorrect data to accomplish it--check

Not looking good if you are trying to come across as a legitimate, concerned citizen of the Bitshares ecosystem.  Good luck with whatever alternative project you are looking at/work for. BitShares is a diamond in the rough so when all the good folks here are polishing their diamonds in the next two years, please feel free to stop by with a nice little painted tin cup.  I'm sure someone will pity your lack of foresight and difficulty with fact seeking...and toss you a little nugget.

I say this with only love (and a bit of sadness at what some people will do in hopes of making it "to the top")

I get you, but you must understand that I just have no time to dig deeper. All I can do is spread the word which I'm doing. Bitshares seemed really like a system with good perspective for greater adoption, therefore I had some coins to invest to. I'm not working with any other coin, I'm just sad to see this is falling apart, yet it has its qualities. I'm just trying to explain this ridiculous and constant price decline.

Spare me of that logic of "price is not important"... Yes it's of tremendous importance for this ecosystem to rise.

And I'm telling you that if you can't dig deep into something you shouldn't invest in it. You say you are sad to see this falling apart...but it is kind of silly to me because I'm one of the people who has a very broad view of the entire bitshares ecosystem and I see NOTHING but + signs for the medium to long term.

Since you're more into this, I reckon you have some prognosis until when it will fall and how much and when it rises, how much will it be? Because honestly I'm clueless about it, everything I was thinking about Bitshares price was wrong. I expected the decline of maybe 2x, but 4-5x is too much for me.

How about this for vice: don't think about price.  Think about people,  projects and tech.

How about this: tech is great, community is vibrant, and price shows absolutely no signs of recovery, even no short term peaks? I cannot explain it.

That's it. Sold my portion of BTS for BitUSD. This thing is going nowhere but down for now, client is still so buggy and slow after all these versions, seems like delegates are not doing their part well and there is Ethereum which is game-changer that will be launched soon.

Sorry I know I'm getting on nerves to majority of people here, but that's what happens when you sell with a big 4x loss. Gotta admit, frustration hit the maximum level.

Maybe I'll re-buy 3x cheaper. Just maybe, depends on the vibe when that price is achieved, and it seems like it surely will.

trading is very difficult, but when you get 4-5 threads popping up with people talking about BitShares in the past tense, any smart trader would get bullish. btcxyzzz, if you want to invest rationally I suggest you buy when BitShares breaks the long term down trend, that is usually a safe strategy.

What precisely, about ethereum is game changing at this juncture?
