This is the amount of new members who came in since the beginning of April.
As you can see, minebitshares has been the most successful (14X time more than anyone else) at bringing new users into our ecosystem.
Not only were they sign-ups but actual people who need to use BitShares in order to move funds.
This project has tremendous benefits to everyone involved:
- Increases the liquidity of bitAssets (Good for trading bots and MetaExchange)
- This is 100% Accomplished Proof of Concept
- Creates buying pressure on our competitors
- Mining Real Gold with a partnership with CryptoSmith(bitGold -> Gold) becomes possible
- Ease of accounting for taxes
- Yields on holding
- Integrate with MetaExchange
- Increasing Bonus as BTS market cap rises (incentivizing miners to invest in bitshares)

The Status of my delegate
My primary mission as a marketing delegate is to bring in new quality users. MineBitShares is the one who's been the most successful at doing it and I have been humbled. This project has brought more than users and it brings utility. (and Mining Real Gold?!) :)
I have done my best to try as many different offers, capture pages, ads to find scalable marketing funnels. What our efforts have taught us is that the amount of education needed for a new users to understand what we do makes it very expensive to convert traffic into users...and the users we bring in don't necessarily have a use for the software other than pure speculation.
At this point in time, direct-advertising BitShares Core with ads is not, in my opinion, the best use of resources. As far as marketing goes, after all of my tests, I believe focusing on the businesses that are building on top of BitShares is where it's at.
Right now, the best marketing tool we have to bring new users and utility is MineBitShares and we can make it a big deal.
Because of that, I am going to redirect my delegate funds to making bitsharesmining the most badass mining pool ever.

Yes that is for sure. As nethyb mentionned, he is passing the baton and unless he is voted in, the operation will stop...which would be a shame. This operation is a lot of work.
Also, we will need to add the scrypt to mine Bitcoin to the pool, which increase the cost of operation (hence voting in his delegate)

For me conventional marketing through twitter/ads/raffles works pretty good so far (stats: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,14554.0.html ) - if I had steady funds available it would work even better I think.
However, mining is important and a great marketing tool for Bitcoiners. Btw: is it possible to mine on the pool with leased X11 from nicehash?

1) Sign up with minebitshares pool.
2) Convert bitUSD you receive to bitGold.
3) Buy physical gold with your bitgold on cryptosmith.
Is there any chance that we can have users pick what payout they receive from minebitshares, so they could receive bitGold directly (cutting out step 2?). This would make things easier.

This one project alone could, by itself, greatly increase liquidity in our markets and create enormous buzz in the crypto world. Imagine the Press Releases when we can announce to the World that you can now mine on your home rig to have real physical silver or gold delivered right to your doorstep (powered by BitShares). There is a large group of Bitsharers working feverishly to put this together and roll this out big time in the short term. The combined efforts of MetaExchange, BlockTrades, CryptoSmith, MineBitshares, BunkerShares, and marketers like Fuzzy, Favdesu and RGcrypto are pulling this blockbuster together for YOU.

For now it will be paid for by the delgate we are asking to have voted in and by funds from marketing delegates because they think this is the Marketing Opportunity of the Century besides being a lot of other things. The advantages to BitSharesare are staggering!
Bytemaster kicked it off a while ago by funding $50 dollars a day from his personal funds.
That is now ending. And we are ready to ramp up.
So we need to get minebitshares-reloaded voted in right away111

That's the focus of the new 100% delegate/s... To ensure the bonus is sustainable. Bytemaster himself provided the inital bonus funds to prove the concept, moving forward the bonus will be from delegate fees. You can look at the delegate pay/bonus as marketing referral fees.
Once interesting aspect of the bonus from delegate fees is that as the pool scales with new bitshares/users/miners - increasing BitAsset liquidity, any resulting increase in BTS price - increases the value of the bonus, attracting even more users...
An exciting positive feedback loop :D

Yes.. this is one of the more unique delegate operations that is actually increasing the liquidity of our markets and more importantly bringing in new users. I have done rough calculations and this will continue to scale very nicely. It's important to note that this is not theory.. this is working and has worked! Now we are just establishing the foundations to keep it going and growing.. all you do is vote for minebitshares-reloaded

I agree. We need to be bitcoin friendly.
Bitshares is the evolution of Proof of Work. Not only can you mine Bitshares with the minebitshares merge mining pool, you can also do REAL work for Bitshares: development, marketing, etc, as a delegate, as an employee of the blockchain, and get paid that way.
