It's a SaaS in Canada for Canadians only.. not sure why they call themselves a global operating system for gold.
Not a crypto .. not decentralized.. very well designed for ease of use.. backed by many investors.. insured by a centuries old insurer.. has all the elements of something that could be quite successful.
Will you trust them to really be keeping gold? Most would.. lloyds of london aren't worried.. so you shouldn't either! Right?
What I am concerned about is the branding conflict with our bitGold. It could be disrupted by them.. or possibly even enhanced ... I think now is high time to get a bitGOLD page up asap to search-jack their traffic. :) There are still tons of bitgold domains available.

Why dont you contact them and convince them to use Bitshares to improve their business? It could help them solve some problems and you can make a logical bullet point list for them.

It's been my experience as soon as you say things like 'decentralized' where investors are involved in traditional businesses like this (I mean the model, not the offering, which is innovative).. they look at you like you have three heads. They have already invested hugely into their infrastructure.. and they want a grip on every bit of it (like my pun?).. Right about now the last thing the founders want is to hear about BitShares is my guess. It's going to come out in different way.. but only once they have satisfied their investors with confidence.

What I am concerned about is the branding conflict with our bitGold.
If it's only for Canadians, I wouldn't worry about global branding. That's not a knock on you guys at all; it's just a market of limited size.

I saw them advertising today in zerohedge...
We should advertise on zerohedge! Can't we assign some marketing funds for such a publicity? Maybe not now but once we are in v1 we should probably do it!
