Title: UIA questions
Post by: kenCode on May 24, 2015, 07:45:36 pm
1. Are UIA's going to change with the release of BitAssets 2.0/3.0? If so, what will be changed?

2. Could I use a UIA to hold my subscribers/depositors (a site I'm working on for BitShares) monthly dues? This way those dues create liquidity for the UIA.

3. Could the UIA pay rewards to those depositors/subscribers?

4. Will the UIA pay its holders (those who trade it) some Yield like a typical BitAsset?

5. What will a 5 character symbol (letters only) cost?

6. Living in (and issuing from) Germany, what sort of legal things should I do before I create the UIA? Then, before the UIA issues Yield or rewards?

7. I'd like the UIA to somehow pay an employee of our Munich DAC. Possible?

I need to make sure I do this properly. This DAC is going to generate a LOT of fees for the BitShares DAC and bring a LOT of investment, so I need to make sure I'm doing this right.

Please and thanx guys for any help with this you can provide :)

1. i don't know
2. you mean a subsribtion? Sure why not. You need just something who will control if the fees are paid and they have to login with the BTS account
3. via dividends (not implemented yet)
4. no
5. 500.000 BTS
6. ask your lawyer, but i suspect if the UIA is a membership for your site, it doesn't matter if you have it on a blockchain or on your own database.
7. If the UIA is something worth - sure! So i suspect the subscribers need to buy them, so your employee could sell them easily.

Thanx Shentist :)
Number 5 is 500-thousand BTS, right?
If that's the case I may need to fund raise part of this business plan too.

Cool, that sounds much better :)

Is there a pricelist, or, how do you know those numbers?

I still don't see the prices for just 1 UIA purchase.
Or the prices to become a delegate.
Or what delegates currently get paid per day (3%, 100%, whatever).

Does BitSharesBlocks show that stuff too somewhere?
http://bitsharesblocks.com/assets/user

I got the delegate prices from DataSecurityNode, but I was always wondering where he got the current numbers from.

Sorry for the barrage of questions, I need to be able to explain that too, should a client ever ask me.
Thanx Shentist :)

Ah-hah! Found it in "Delegate Stats" and "Asset Stats".
Thanx again Shentist, you da man :)

One last Q for the night, where is the definition of "Short Name" and "Long Name"?
There's no tooltip to define it there, just curious.. Thanx again!

6-8 characters = long name
