I don't check our status every week, but i was surprised to see BitShares now ranked at 11th on coinmarketcap. I don't recall us drifting this low before. Our market share is down to 12,299,301 and the price to $ 0.004896.
I really do think we need an accurate and realistic estimate on when we are due to go-live. I don't understand how and why that cannot be released. In another post, it was suggested mid September may be the potential release date due to the verbiage in the license. If that's the case, why can't that be confirmed as a tentative date and firmed up over the next couple of weeks?
Just my 2 cents.

I think its the same cash that just floats randomly between crypto currencies. I don't really see new money coming into the crypto ecosystem until something truly revolutionary comes out. Even when it does it will probably take months before the investing public and even the smart money starts to catch on and invests in crypto. Just think about how bummed we will all be if bts2.0 is released and the market cap doesn't rise...

Thats the genius of 2.0though, BMs idea to go after businesses so the public may be using bitshares without even knowing it.
Maybe it is just the same money flowing back and forth, i am just surprised to see us so low.

What you are seeing is just the money moving around where people can make money.
Right now BitShares is sort of in a trading dead zone between the summer when investors done invest now, and with the advent of 2.0 where all hopes are hinged.. there really isn't much opportunity to make a whole lot right now in BTS in trades... there are other things going on in the crypto space where those funds have gone to trade.
It's nothing to be overly concerned about.
However.. regarding the delegate business.. If people are going to start voting out delegates then I recommend voting FOR our proposal http://vote.bunkermining.com for our additional delegates.
We had $250 in bitUSD payouts tonight, and payout everyday. With further support we could grow to 400x that much in daily payouts. So if you are all concerned about market cap.. voting for these delegates is certainly a great way to help hedge it up!

Bytecoin 1.0.6 updates CryptoNote and upgrades e-commerce integration

They also have a clear roadmap

It looks interesting, I also like that they have low inflation, high privacy and decent development.
The egalitarian CPU & GPU mining also sounds good.
I'm personally not convinced the current DPOS without voting incentives is much better in terms of effective decentralisation, because DPOS takes too much effort for hundreds of thousands of future small shareholders to engage in.
The original distribution of Bytecoin looks suspect. I haven't looked into very much though until it broke into the top 10 this week & I assume it will go back out though.

It was around long before. Probably when Namecoin, iXcoin or Tenebrix was released. ;)
