I just hope we will have an awesome product with 2.0 Hopefully we will catch more attention from potential future partners

random idea. We should just collect all links and dates where exchanges have had problems that could be avoided if they were using BitShares (from the moment BitShares 2.0 is released) so after a few months or a year we would released that and people could have an actual idea of how much they could have saved, both exchanges and customers  ;) then leak all of that on all major crypto magazines. BOOOM right in the wound. I will actually try to compile all of that so I could share in the future, if you know of any problems with exchanges that are known and public, pls pm me. Then once I have a reasonable amount, we will discuss the ones that could be avoided and have someone publish that.

Good idea. Highlight the security advantages of Bitshares 2.0 and lis tall the companies which have been hacked.

Security features are the best kind of marketing.

I have this so far. I wanted to collect links to prove this instead of random print screen pictures of issues that people can claim are fake, however I  noticed most exchanges talk about their hacks and issues via tickets or at some threads on bitcointalk but they never use their annoucements or news sections to alert users and explain what happened, making it harder to find they had issues. They don't seem transparent at all.

@mf-tzo Thanks. I will try, however, to keep only a record of hacks in 2015. However, most importantly is to keep track of any compromised exchange after BitShares 2.0 is released, meaning they could be completely avoided.

Found this for Exchanges Status http://www.dinbits.com/Exchanges

I didn't know about this and it seems another central point of failure. Most exchanges use Cloudfare to protect against DDOS attacks for example. If Cloudfare is compromised, exchanges can be too. But I guess even they did use BitShares, their site could still be inoperable so I don't know if that's really a point where BitShares can help. Unless people used the BitShares client, I believe it would make no difference. This post on reddit is from 2 years ago but does anyone know if exchanges are using other difference services or Cloudfade continues to be the main one?

How decentralized is that lol. Ok, costumer mistake, however just because you got your order filled doesn't mean it's your fault. It's either the costumer or the exchange's fault for doing his. Or the costumer didn't pay attention or - most likely- the interface might have confused him.

However other people dont have nothing to do with that.

Listen at 1.30 min.

Huh? I went to that link and found no audio content there. Perhaps you need to have a twitter account?

Kraken down again. Lately it has been DDoS'ed a good amount of times. Can't even secure one but acquire more... I wonder if Prediction Markets start going after these events...

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/42tg21/kraken_is_down/
speculation but interesting nonetheless:
If the price has dropped significantly once it reopens my theory is they're front-running again. the site was also conveniently inaccessible when ether first hit the market too. "somebody" was able to buy up all the cheap coins and then resell for a profit once everyone else was allowed to trade. never forget!! ;)

I didnt even mention bitshares ahah bitcoiners really are the pinacle of irony. Open minded People who want to decentralize stuff and achieve financial independence and escape from.the shackles of the world while at the same time wanting to Ban every single project not related to bitcoin even if ir does things better.

People who think bitcoin is about that are wrong. Bitcoin is all about money and making a profit.its like any other industry they "hate". Bitcoin is but an empty shell of what it once was
