The article has a misleading title.
Essentially, it seems the CEO of BitPay manually transferred the bitcoins. Someone had hacked the CFO's email account and used that to request the CEO to carry out the transfers.

No one hacks computers anymore. People are much easier.

I think dynamic account permissions (https://bitshares.org/technology/dynamic-account-permissions/) are Graphenes greatest feature. Even beyond price stable cryptocurrencies.
